Cellular imprisonment

You’ve been hearing the phrase “black water” since you were a youngster. Kala Pani is the terrible British jail in Andaman where our liberation fighters and Bravehearts were imprisoned. This prison, which contains 694 cells, was built in 1897. The names of the brave hearts are still engraved on the walls of the cell, and the tools used to torture the freedom fighters may be viewed at the museum here. The Japanese destroyed several elements of Saluzor Jail during WWII, yet this jail still reminds us of our forebears and heroes.
